Privacy at Amazed Labs

Last updated: November 1, 2026

Amazed Labs makes small tools that solve real problems - for clinics, for pet care, for learning, and for the people who run them. This page explains, in plain language, what our apps see and what they do with it.

The short version

  • Your Google information stays in your Google account and on your devices. Authorized Slate sites also use their organization's private systems. Amazed Dash stores the limited account-access information described below.
  • We do not sell or rent your data or use advertising trackers. We use service providers as described below to run the apps.
  • Our apps read only what they need to do their job, and almost everything is read-only.
  • Revoking Google permissions stops future access to your Google data. It does not by itself delete Dash membership.

What our apps access, and why

When you sign in with Google, the app asks for the permissions below. Each one exists for a feature you can see on screen - nothing runs in the background for its own sake.

  • Google Drive (read) - so the app can open the files and documents you point it at.
  • Google Drive (app-created files only) - the app can create and update its own small settings and data files in your Drive. It cannot touch anything else.
  • Google Sheets (read-only) - to display spreadsheets you choose to view.
  • Google Docs (read-only) - to open documents you choose to view.
  • Google Calendar (read-only) - to show schedule counts and upcoming times.
  • Google Tasks (read-only) - to show your task lists.
  • Google Contacts (read-only) - to connect names to people you already know.
  • Gmail (read-only) - to surface relevant messages inside the app when a feature calls for it.

What we do with it

Everything the app reads is used to show information back to you, inside the app, on your device. Where a dashboard view is shared beyond the app itself, it shows counts and links only - never names, messages, or clinical details. Our clinical-adjacent tools are designed to be free of patient data from the start, not as an afterthought.

Where your data lives

Your Google data stays in your Google account. The app's own settings files live in your Google Drive. App state on your phone or computer stays on that device. Amazed Dash also stores limited account-access information with Cloudflare, as described below.

Sharing

We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. Our apps use Google for the Google services you connect and Apple for platform services. Amazed Dash uses Cloudflare to run its account-access service. Authorized Slate sites use their organization's private systems.

Your control

You can see and revoke the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking Google permissions stops future access to your Google data. It does not by itself delete Dash membership. Its settings files remain in your Drive and you can delete them like any other file. To remove that membership, use the app's account deletion option.

Slate and Amazed Dash

Slate is a day viewer for people who work by appointment. It is a multi-site app. The Spa NYC site is a demo that uses made-up clients, rooms and appointments, needs no sign-in, and sends nothing to any real site. Other sites belong to an organization and need authorized access. Some of those sites are used in clinical settings. There, Slate shows de-identified case information (initials and case keys) supplied by the organization after sign-in, and lets staff capture readings, timed entries, history, photos and notes. What staff capture is sent to that organization's own private systems for their review. It is not sent to advertisers or analytics companies, and Amazed Labs does not sell or share it. The app is locked with Face ID or the device passcode, is kept out of device backups, deletes sent photos from the phone, and hides its screen while the screen is being recorded or mirrored. Speech for hold-to-speak is recognized on the device. Slate does not sign, diagnose, recommend treatment, or write to a medical record.

Amazed Dash stores verified login identifiers, access approval status, session and security records with Cloudflare to control app access. Dashboard contents and Google Drive access tokens are not stored by this service. Dashboard files remain in the user's Google Drive; the app can create and update its own private files. Users can delete app membership in the app; their Drive files are kept. Deleting the approver's app account also removes its approval authority. New access requests cannot be approved until an approver is explicitly set up again.

Google Sign-In may collect account identifiers and information for sign-in security and SDK operation, as described by Google. Google's SDK privacy disclosure also lists account/contact information, approximate location, device identifiers and usage information, including analytics. Dash's membership database does not store that contact, location or usage information.

Camera, microphone, speech and photos

Where an app asks for the camera, photo library, microphone or speech recognition, it is to read a screen or document, attach a photo, or let you dictate. Each is optional, and the app tells you before asking. None of it is used for tracking or advertising.

Children

Amazed Labs tools are built for adults running businesses and are not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes, and for anything meaningful we will say so in the app.
